Designed to fold easily and without the need for tools, the Birdie Compact can be stored or transported comfortably when space is at a premium. The compact base and large castors enables smooth manoeuvring around beds, in bathroom areas and through narrow doorways. With a 150kg weight capacity, the Birdie Compact is ideal for everyday lifting in the home.

Easy handling - for the carer
The Birdie Compact is only 55cm wide making it the only lifter that is TÜV certified and is this narrow - unique to the market. The ergonomically designed push bar allows the carer to position their hands comfortably when moving the lifter, reducing the likelihood of strain. The 100mm smoothing rolling castors make it easy to push and pull the lifter, reducing the force required to manoeuvre.

Simple to fold, unfold and dismantle without tools. The Birdie Compact is designed to be folded easily and without any tools or special skills required. The Birdie Compact takes up minimal space when stored and is easy to push and transport. When space is at a premium the Birdie Compact can even be stored upright.

The Birdie Compact is CE-certified in line with the Medical Device Directive 93/42/ECC. To ensure the Birdie Compact complies with AS 10535.2002 (the Australian standard for hoists) the lifter has been rigorously tested both by Invacare and the German TÜV institute, an accredited external body.

With maximum space for the user, the Birdie offers a truly comfortable lift and transfer to or from beds,chairs or even the floor. The Birdie maximises space for the user even when the lifter is in the highest position.
This gives a very comfortable lift and transfer since the user can easily be rotated. The Birdie folds quick and easily without the use of tools making it easy to transport and store. The Birdie comes standard with electric leg adjustment and has a 170kg weight limit, making it ideal for in the nursing or care home environments.

Total user comfort...
Maximises space for the user even when the hoist is in the highest position. This gives a very comfortable lift and transfer since the user can easily be rotated in the hoist. Consequently, it makes the placing of the user into the bed/wheelchair much easier for the carer. The optimisation of space creates a high level of comfort since the user's knees will not be close to the actuator of the hoist. You have, then, a very low risk of injuring the knees of the user.

IPL 205 Lifter Single Boom Lifter
